Admission Procedure for ETT

Minimum Educational Qualification:  Senior Secondary (PLUS 2) or Equivalent with minimum 5O% marks of General category & 45% marks for S.C/S.T. category.

Note:-No candidate with Re-appear/ Compartment/ Result later etc. in any qualifying examination (10+2) shall be eligible to apply

Duration And Working Days

Duration:The D.El.Ed. Programme shall be of duration of 2 academic years; however, the students shall be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of three years from the date of admission to the programme.

Working Days:

a. There shall be at least two hundred working days each year exclusive of the period of exanimation and admission.

b. The institutions shall work for a minimum of 36 hours in a week, during which physical presence in the institution of all the teachers and student. Teachers are necessary to ensure the availability for advice' guidance' dialogue and consultation as and when needed.

c. The minimum attendance of student teachers shall be 80%o for the course work including practicum and 90% for school internship.

Merit Criteria: As per NCTE rules, the candidates of General category who have obtained at least 5 0olo marks in 10+2 or equivalent will be eligible. Five percent relaxation in marks will be given to SC/ST students. The admission will be on the merit basis. Merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam i.e. l0+2. No additional marks will be given for higher Education.

Language Qualification: Candidates must have passed Punjabi upto Matric level/ standard.

Additional Condition: To ensure high quality standards, any candidate who has not passed subjects English, Hindi, Punjabi, Science, social Studies and Mathematics in Class X Examination shall not be eligible to apply for admission to D.El.Ed.

Maximum Age: Maximum age limit as on 15-07-2016 for General category candidate will be 36 years as per the decision of Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court vide LPA No. 448 of 2015 State of Punjab and another Vs. Wazir Kaur and another dated 31.03.2015 with five years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates.

Reservation policy of Punjab Government

Reservation policy of Punjab government will be followed for reserved categories.

Terms and conditions

Each Student will have to submit the copy of aadhaar card at the time of admission. Students admitted under SC/ST category will have to submit their original SC/ST certificate, income certificate, photo copy of aadhaar card, residence proof, ID proof, bank account number and email ID at the time of admission or else their admission will stand cancelled.
